Do you have a flair for food and business? If so, Tidewater Community College’s certificate in Restaurant Management may be for you. With local eateries, popular chains and numerous high-end restaurants in every city in Hampton Roads, a certificate in restaurant management can open doors to a fulfilling career. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for food service managers is expected to grow more than 9 percent between 2016-2026.

Career Studies Certificate - Restaurant Management

As a student in our program, you’ll take courses in restaurant management; sanitation and safety; recipe and menu management; hospitality supervision – a wide range that will prepare you with the business background necessary to succeed in this dynamic field. The program includes hands-on training through cooperative education in an area restaurant.
